The CURTIS 1221M Programmable Series Motor Controllers are designed to provide smooth, silent, cost-effective control of motor speed and torque. The 1221M controller is an updated version of the popular 1205 controller with added functionality that can be programmed via the CURTIS Model 1313-4401 Handheld Programmer or 1314 PC Programming Station. This means that the controller can be tailored to the needs of a specific application. In addition to configuration flexibility, the use of a programmer provides diagnostic and testing capabilities.

The CURTIS 1221M controller is an ideal solution for a variety of electric vehicle applications, including industrial trucks, personnel carriers, material handlers, golf carts, and more.

Features include

High frequency switching and ultra-low voltage drop provide high efficiency and quiet operation.
Simple installation and wiring, with push-in connectors for control signals and plated solid copper busses for power connections.
Compatible with two-wire potentiometers or voltage throttles.
The throttle failsafe circuit disables the controller if the throttle line is open.
The high pedal disable function prevents controller operation if the key is turned on while the accelerator is applied.
Insert the brake diode inside the controller.
Thermal protection and compensation circuitry provides constant current limit over operating range and during under/over temperature curtailment; no sudden power loss under any thermal conditions.
