The INT 650 combines vintage cool authenticity with modern approachability. One of the game changers the motorcycle industry needs right now
The Interceptor reimagines the laid-back, easy-going lifestyle of sun-drenched California beaches. The classic sports cars of the 1960s still fit the contemporary narrative of youth, freedom and fun. It's equally easy to ride through twisty trails, highways or the urban jungle, combining timeless style with modern performance
A 648cc engine with an air/oil-cooled parallel-twin configuration built for real-world riding. While delivering a very useful 47 horsepower at 7150 RPM and a maximum of 52 Nm of torque at 5250 RPM, the secret to the new engine is the way the power is delivered. Smooth throttle response throughout the rev range ensures there's enough power to work city traffic with ease or cruise along the open road with ease

The Interceptor 650 is powered by a 648cc BS6 engine producing 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is equipped with front and rear disc brakes with anti-lock braking system. The Interceptor 650 bike weighs 202 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13.7 liters.
The Interceptor is one of two models based on Royal Enfield's 650cc twin-cylinder platform. It's more of a "street bike" of the two, with a retro look and comfort and the ability to carry a rider with a rear seat for wider appeal.
At the heart of the Interceptor is a BS6-compliant fuel-injected 648cc parallel-twin air/oil-cooled motor producing 46.8bhp and 52Nm of torque. It sends power to the rear wheels via a six-speed gearbox and chain drive. The chassis, brakes and suspension are all modern with all the glamour a retro look has to offer. The brakes are single discs at both ends, the front disc is 320mm and the rear disc is 240mm. ABS is standard. The suspension features a conventional fork at the front and dual gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear with preload adjustment. The tires are technically tubeless, but since the spoked 18-inch rims are not airtight, they need to have a tube inside.
Instrumentation is also retro, with a dual-compartment cluster housing, an analog speedometer and tachometer, and a small digital compartment that provides information on fuel levels, an odometer, and two trip meters. Likewise, the lighting is completely free of LEDs and DRLs - a simple round headlamp will do the job.
The Interceptor is available in seven different color schemes. The standard (monotone) version includes three paint options - Canyon Red, Ventura Blue and Orange Crush. The Custom (Dual Tone) variant also offers three options - Downtown Drag, Sunset Strip and Baker Express. Finally, the Chrome variant includes an updated version of the Mark 2. The Mark 2 Chrome Interceptor is an ode to the original Interceptor 750 from the 1960s. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 competes with the KTM 390 Duke in price, although in specs it is closer to the Kawasaki Z650.
