Raw material Magnesite knowledge:
Chemical formula: MgCO3
Chemical composition of MgO (3): 35%-47%
CaO 0.2%-4%
SiO 0.2-8%
Fe2O3 is less than 1%
Al2O3 is less than 1%
Heavy burned or light burned magnesium Application:
Light burned magnesium ——can be made into many kinds of magnesium salts,used in medicine, rubber, synthetic fiber, paper and other aspects of theraw materials
Heavy burned——Refractory material, used in the manufacture of magnesia brick, magnesite chrome brick, magnesia, powder metallurgy.
Transported by inclined Belt Conveyor, the fine crushed dolomites will be sent to the Hopper on the top of Preheater and then discharged into Preheater by feeding chute. The high temperature gas from rotary kiln can preheat the dolomites to 800℃. Some of the dolomites can dissociate after preheating. After this process, the dolomites are push out by hydraulic push-rod and get into the Rotary Kiln for calcination with 1100-1250℃ through transfer slide. After calcination, all the materials are discharged into Cooler for cooling to less than 100℃ and then discharge to next process for grinding.

Heating temperature 640℃: CaCO3 =CaO+CO2↑ Magnesite begin to decompose
Heating temperature 700-1000℃: Magnesite transfer into power-Light burned magnesium
Heating temperature 1400-1800℃: Magnesite transfer into block-Heavy burned magnesium(Heavy burned magnesium has high refractoriness)
Heating temperature 2500-3000℃:Fused Magnesium Oxide or melting
Through the high temperature calcining, is not easy to combine with water and carbonate, High hardness,Resistance to chemical corrosionresistance, High electrical resistivity
