3. What is the difference between silk screen printing and offset printing for copying CDs and DVDs?
The offset printing on the disc is of the highest quality, a Lybro Records standard. It is very similar to offset printing in commercial printing. It uses a 150-line screen and can generate a smaller dot. The result is extraordinary detail and color accuracy. Screen printing has long been the standard printing method for replicating optical discs. It uses a 100-line screen and prints beautiful images. While screen printing will almost always match your proof, there are some limitations and your final product may not be the same color as the proof.
Because the larger the dots, the rougher the resolution. Images, like photographs, may lose some detail. Screen printing is the only process used for PMS color printing.
4. What is the difference between copy and copy?
CD or DVD copying is a process that begins with a CD or DVD recordable. We then copy or "burn" the content from the master you provided to a recordable disc. The next process is to print your work directly to disc with our beautiful full-color printer. This process is ideal for short-term orders or can be a solution for larger orders that require a 24-48 hour turnaround time. CD or DVD REPLICATION is the manufacturing process that uses raw materials to create optical discs. These are also known as "molded" or "pressed" discs. This is the process of using a glass master and stamper. Because replication starts from raw materials, this process is the most cost-effective method for large orders. After the disc is copied, it is then printed directly to your disc using full colour offset printing or PMS colour screen printing. The standard plan for duplication is 7-10 days for CDs and 12-15 days for DVDs.
