Product Description
Diagonal 21.63mm (4/3 type) about 10.71M-Effective Pixel Color CMOS Image Sensor, this is the official description on Sony's official website. In our endeavour, we modified it to be a diagonal of 23.2 mm (4/3 type) approx. 11.71 million effective pixels.
"IMX294CJK" is the first image sensor for astronomical cameras in China that adopts the Type 4/3 format, and realizes the output of the number of pixels required for 4K at 120 frames per second (in ADC 10-bit output mode, ASI294MC is based on USB3. format can run up to 25fps). Furthermore, an SNR1 of 0.14 lx* can be achieved using large pixel sizes, which is very close to the value of ASI224 (0.13 lx*).
SNR1s' excellent low-light performance: 0.14 lx is achieved by using a large-scale optical system and enlarging the area of each pixel to 4.63 µm. This makes the IMX294CJK an ideal sensor for applications in the astronomy camera market where low light performance is required.
ASI294 has a 14-bit ADC, which can reach 13 stops of dynamic range, which is better than ASI1600.
When will the HCG mode be turned ongethigher than120(12db), the read noise will drop below2eBut the same dynamic range (13 stops).
The 63700e is full, three times the capacity of the ASI1600. Even bright stars don't saturate with long exposures.
The camera achieves higher SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) with just one exposure.
The IMX294 sensor is a BSI (Backside Illuminated) sensor with a very high QE (we assume a peak QE of more than 75%).
USB 3.0 ports:Offering 5Gb bandwidth, it is possible for the ASI294MC to run at 16 fps (14-bit, normal mode) or 19 fps (10-bit, high-speed mode) at full resolution (11.7Mega).
ST4 port:Can be used to connect the automatic guide port of the base for guiding.
