The innovative direct-drive gearbox and guard system are designed for enhanced vertical cutting capabilities in baseboards (6-3/4”) and crown molding (8” nesting). It also allows 15" crosscuts at 90 degrees. The saw tilts 0° to 60° left and right, stopping at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6°, 45° and 60° (left or right). The miter lock is located on the front of the saw for easy access and quick adjustment from 0° to 48° (left and right). The saw is powered by a 15 amp direct drive motor with soft start, which is a key differentiator. Direct drive allows for smoother starts and consistent, constant power without slippage or belt changes. Electric brakes provide added convenience. Plus, electronic speed control maintains a constant speed under load for smoother, higher-quality cuts. Additional features include high-quality 60T carbide blades and a clear blade guard system for improved blade and cut line visibility. A built-in laser indicates the cut line whether the blade is turning or not, and provides fine adjustments for precise "blade left" or "blade right" cuts. It features dual dust ports for increased dust collection and can be used with a bag (included) or a vacuum (sold separately).
