RSR Roof Snow Melt Heating Cables offer the most versatile features in heat tracing designs and applications. Consisting of a matrix of semiconductor heaters squeezed between parallel buses, the self-regulating cable adjusts its output to respond independently to ambient temperature over its length. As the temperature increases, the resistance of the heater increases, reducing the output power. Conversely, as the temperature decreases, the resistance decreases and the cable generates more heat. Therefore a thermostat is not required in some applications. It will never overheat or burn out even when wrapped individually (overlapping). Can also be cut to any length. The result - an energy efficient heating cable.
