Vacuum CF Feedthrough
Vacuum feedthroughs can generally be divided into three categories: electrical feedthroughs, mechanical feedthroughs, and fluid feedthroughs, which remain leak-free under high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum systems.
Power feedthroughs are used to transmit high voltage, high current, or a combination of both. These products can be used in a variety of vacuum applications including vacuum furnaces, sample heating or biasing, and vacuum coating applications such as electron beam evaporation, resistive heating evaporation, and DC plasma sputtering. The primary concern of vacuum electrical feedthroughs is insulation and vacuum sealing. Materials used for insulation include glass, plastic and ceramics. In the vacuum components industry, there is hardly a technology more specialized than the production of vitrified metal seals. The sealing of ceramics and metals, and the combination of metals and ceramics are the key to fabricate electrical feedthroughs in high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum environments.
