Yes, while most of our hoods come with built-in latches (depending on whether your stock hood has a built-in latch), hood pins are required for your own safety. 3. What is "Grade A" carbon? There are no official standards for carbon fiber products. Due to the way carbon fiber products are manufactured, quality can vary greatly between brands. As a result, manufacturers started referring to their products as "Grade A" to emphasize the quality of their products. But it's just a term commonly used in advertising. 4. Generally how to judge the quality of carbon fiber products? 1. Is the product made of one carbon sheet, or multiple pieces put together? 2. Is it gel-coat finish or clear coat finish? 3. Is the carbon sheet wrapped around the frame or integrated into the mold? All of our products are made with one-piece carbon sheet, so you can’t see To broken thread and pattern. All of our products use a clear coat. Clear coats are glossy and durable, and they give you that nice "wet" look instead of the dull look of gel coats. What are the advantages and disadvantages of "dty carbon" and "wet carbon"? Dry versus wet involves completely different manufacturing processes. If you do a general search, you can find plenty of articles on the web with detailed information. As for pros and cons, here's a quick summary: simply put, dry carbon is best for race use, where you get the most power and save the most weight. The weave and quality are more consistent, but they are usually 3 to 4 times more expensive than wet carbon. Wet carbon products are hand laid or vacuum infused and are more prone to small imperfections such as waviness and tiny air bubbles. They don't save weight like dry carbon fiber does. But on the plus side, you get an incredible combination of visual appeal, weight savings, and most importantly, price. Wet carbon products are the most popular and most commonly referred to as "carbon fiber". 6. What kind of warranty do you have? We have a 6 month limited clear coat warranty that we guarantee will work on all US model vehicles unless we specifically state otherwise. We test all parts before sale. But customers need to understand that aftermarket body parts won't exactly fit the OEM. This is normal and you should be fine. Having said that, we are very confident that our product is one of the best accessories on the air styling market. Our warranty only applies to vehicles that have not had any bodywork done. As a precaution, please test all parts you cut/paint/drill before installing. 7. How do I take care of my products? Your carbon fiber product is durable, but still requires care and maintenance to keep it looking good. More specifically, keep products clean, minimize sun exposure, and wax when necessary. Especially with carbon fiber hoods, it is important to use a heat shield under the hood to avoid premature aging. All Dry-Carbon products are sold in RAW and must be protected by the consumer upon receipt. 8. My product was shipped to me damaged. what should I do? Your product can be shipped to you from your dealership or directly from JSKracing. We inspect and double pack each item before shipping. However, due to the size of most items, it can be awkward to handle, and sometimes truckers don't handle them with care. We have to count on the consignee to check the condition of the product upon receipt. If you note all damage on the delivery receipt (which you should), then you can file a claim with the shipping company. You can also contact your dealer to obtain supporting documents from us if required by the shipping company.
