Continuous melt filters in the ERF series are suitable for materials with contamination up to 16% by weight and are guaranteed for long-term use without filter replacement. Our ERF melt filters are able to process a wide range of polymers (eg LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PP, PS, ABS, PC/ABS, TPE, TPU, POM). All solid or elastomeric foreign particles such as paper, wood, aluminium, copper, rubber, silicone or high melting point polymer composites are effectively removed.
The classic application for ERF melt filters is repelletization lines, but they are also successfully used in sheet and profile extrusion. ERF melt filters can in principle be used in any extrusion line - whether single-screw or twin-screw, regardless of the type of pelletizing system or other downstream units. Four different sizes enable throughputs from 150 to 10,000 kg/h, depending on the application.
