Product Description
1.D-subCommonly known as Vga (Video Graphics Adapter) interface.
2. D-sub is the abbreviation of D-subminiature. It is a standard for interface shape and structure. It is an analog signal interface. There are different interface numbers as required. D-sub contains several subcategories, such as DB25.
3. The first letter D means D-sub, and the second letter B describes the interface size—corresponding to the following numbers (number of pins) (A=15 Pin , B=25 Pin , C=37 Pin , D =50 pins, E=9 pins). Each interface is divided into male (Plug) and female (Socket).

D-Sub Connector Density
The housing not only provides strength to the connector, it also provides EMI protection and ensures proper mating and orientation. D-sub connectors are available in various sizes and pin configurations. The pins are arranged in parallel rows of two to five; depending on the application. The row-to-row spacing is called the connector density. D-sub connectors are generally available in three densities: standard, high and double density. The standard density connector is double-row, and the D-Sub connector with the same shell size as the standard density but twice the number of pins is commonly known as the double-density D-Sub connector. Connectors with 3 or more rows are called high-density connectors.
The part with pins is called a male connector or header, while the receptacle part is called a female connector or socket. Both connectors are made in such a way that the receptacle shroud fits securely into the plug shroud. The pins have gold tips and are insulated by other materials such as glass, PBT, or insulating plastic.
Case size
The shell sizes of D-Sub connectors are labeled A, B, C, D and E, with each shell size corresponding to a pin or receptacle - i.e. A has 15 pins, B has 25 pins, C has 37 pins In the pin standard density, D is 50 pins, and E is 9 pins. When it comes to double density, the pin count will be higher, such as A-26, B-44, C-62, D-78 and
E-15. Double-density d-sub connectors have denser arrangements and include A-31, B-52, C-79, D-100, and E-19.
D-Sub terminal

D-Sub Standard Board Mount Connectors are standard density I/O connectors featuring stamped and rolled contacts with a full metal housing. These products are available in solder bucket, straight and angled versions. They also have 9 to 50 positions and come in single shell (Delta-D) and double shell designs. D-Sub high-density board-mount connectors combined with backplane, board-to-board and cable connections accommodate up to 78 positions in a standard housing size.
Pin paste and crimp
The D-Sub Pin-in-Paste connectors are made of high temperature thermoplastic and can withstand reflow soldering temperatures up to 260°C, facilitating PiP soldering. These are available in standard and compact signal versions. Crimp versions of the D subminiature connectors save the cost of additional wave soldering as they are available in single shell Delta-D, high density and mixed power designs.
The "eye of the needle" termination technology combined with the unique flat rock design facilitates easy installation with pressure on the insulator. The drill diameters of crimp contacts and harpoons meet the dynamic performance requirements. Apart from that, economical D-sub connectors are the perfect solution for less demanding applications without compromising their design requirements. The economical connectors are also available in power versions that can meet requirements up to 40A per pin.
D-Sub Power and Hybrid
There are also D-Sub power board mount connectors available in full power and mixed power versions, specially developed for power applications in the industrial and telecom market segments, with power contacts ranging from 10A to 40A, up to 8 in the full power version Contacts, layouts from 2V2 to 36W4. The D-Sub MicroTCA connector is a power connector designed for 48V/24A applications according to the TCA specification.
In addition to the power connector, the D-Sub connector is also available in a hybrid version with a signal rating of 7.5A and a power rating of 40A. These connectors feature up to 18 contact arrangements for signal, power and coax with contact resistance less than 5mΩ.
