This 1 track magnetic head, when used with any of our magnetic card readers, can record the data on the magstripe card when the card reading swiping is made. If the card reading swipe was interrupted, recovering the data on the magstripe tracks depends entirely of the magnetic stripe card reader and NOT of the magnetic head.

The magnetic head only records the signal provided by the magstripe on the card and transmits the data to the magnetic card reader.

In this case, this head can read only one track from the magstripe card. The tracks that can be read from the magstripe depends of the position of the head. It can read the track 1, track2 or track 3 depending how it is placed.

Please note that the magnetic head if sold separately or within a combo deal will not come with any rail that the card reading swipe can be made on, so the rail it's the client responsability.

VERY Important!!! Please note that we test every magnetic head before being sold and we make sure that they are in perferct working condition. Even though we have tried to protect it as much as possible by applying a protection layer over it, it is still a 1mm thin magnetic head, so please be very careful not to break the connection pads when soldering the wires on it. After that encapsulate it in a hard epoxy to make sure the connection pads won't break. Our company will NOT replace any products if damaged by the client!
