XDA40 is China's first 40-ton articulated dump truck that has been successfully industrialized, and has been exported overseas in bulk, breaking the monopoly of art giants on articulated dump truck technology and markets, and filling the domestic gap. Imported Mercedes-Benz OM502 engine, power reaches 350kW, 8-cylinder water-cooled, V-arranged, turbocharged intercooled, multi-point electronic injection diesel engine, powerful.  It is sturdy and durable.

ZF ZEP 8EP420 gearbox, with 8 forward gears and 4 reverse gears, with a dedicated heavy-duty wet drive axle for hinged cards, with a driving force of up to 400kN and a maximum speed of 60kM/h, with extremely high production efficiency. The frame is made of high-quality, low-alloy, high-strength steel. The main components are castings to increase the strength of the frame. Important welds are ultrasonically flawed by 100%. xugong independent hydraulics and flow amplification hydraulic steering with independent intellectual property rights have better steering wheel orientation, high steering response accuracy and smooth steering. The XDA40 uses a fully hydraulic self-cooling wet disc brake system and a combined design of engine braking and transmission fluid retardation to reduce the use of service brakes, ensuring low operating costs and safe transportation. The freight car adopts an all-welded structure and is made of high-strength HB400 wear-resistant steel plate.

It is equipped with a dedicated lift system for the XCMG hinged card and controls two single-stage double-acting lifting cylinders to safely and efficiently unload cargo. The whole machine is equipped with a 29.5R25 tubeless steel radial widebody tire, which has strong grip and will not sink. Conforms to the ISO anti-dropping object, roll-over standard cab, no A-pillar design, spacious, and open vision.
