Coating Thickness Gauge is designed for non-destructive, fast and accurate coating thickness measurement. It works on the principle of magnetic induction or eddy current, depending on the type of probe used. The meter has internal F and N probes.
The F probe can be used on non-magnetic coatings on iron or steel substrates, such as aluminum, chrome, copper, zinc, paints and varnishes, enamel, rubber, etc.; it is also suitable for alloy hardened magnetic steel (but not for austenitic steel ).
The N probe can be used for insulating coatings on all non-ferrous metals (such as aluminium, copper, zinc die-casting, brass, etc.) and austenitic stainless steels, such as paint, anodizing, ceramics, etc.
It is ideal for manufacturers and their customers, offices and specialist consultants, paint shops and electroplating plants, the chemical, automotive, shipbuilding and aircraft industries as well as heavy engineering. Suitable for laboratory, workshop and outdoor use.
