The wired serial port to wireless serial port is automatically completed inside the adapter. For users, it is ordinary serial port communication. Market and Application
The purpose of using BT5701 is to replace the original serial cable connection, but how to replace it, users should have a clear plan before purchasing the product. The following are some typical usage methods of BT5701 products.
BT5701 slave connects BLE master devices, such as BLE laptop, USB BLE adapter, BLE PDA, etc. This is the most common way to use the BT5701. The slave is installed on the serial device and waits for the BLE master to discover it. When the master device finds the BT5701 slave device, it sends a pairing request to the master device, and enters the correct slave device pairing password on the master device for verification (BT5701 factory default pairing password is 0000). After the pairing connection is completed, the system of the BLE master device will allocate a BLE virtual serial port number for this BLE connection. The application program running on the master device only needs to use this serial port number to communicate with the BT5701, and then communicate with the serial device connected to the serial BLE adapter.
BT5701 slave and BT5701 master are used in pairs. The master and the slave are respectively connected to the two serial ports connected by the original serial cable. After the host is powered on, it will automatically search for the slave and complete the pairing connection with the slave. After the connection is successful, the BLE status indicators of the master and slave will no longer flash and become steady on. The master and slave are connected, even if the baud rates of the two are different, they can also transmit data to each other. There is no need to set up master and slave in pairs. After both modules are powered on, serial communication can be performed. If the connection distance between the master and slave is too far and the connection is interrupted, the BLE status indicator of the master and slave will return to the blinking state before no connection. When they get closer again, they automatically go back to connected.
The BT5701 host connects to the BLE slave device. At present, the common BLE GPS and BLE printers on the market generally use BLE slave. AT command is used to set the same pairing code of master and slave, they can be connected together.
