Bright Zinc plate Cup Head Coach Bolt/Carriage Bolt

Coach bolts are used for connecting metal to timber, or to join heavy timbers. These bolts were designed for use with square plate washers on ether side of a wooden beam. They are often used now however with bare timber as the coach bolt has developed.

Also known as carriage bolts, coach bolts are extremely heavy duty and have a square or hexagonal head which requires a wrench, spanner or pliers to turn.

WHAT FINISH DO I NEED?

Our range of coach bolts come in 3 different finishes. Bright Zinc Plated, Galvanised and Stainless Steel. Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) are generally used for indoor applications such as bolting 2 or 3 timber joists together. Galvanised coach bolts should used for outdoor applications such as fencing or building work exposed to the elements. All Galvanised coach bolts supplied by tradefixdirect.com are hot dipped which is a very robust coating high than Bright zinc plated and as such has a longer life span. Stainless Steel coach bolts should be used in areas of high polution, coastal regions and where aok timbers are being used.
