Product Description

The coils are continuously formed into a slotted tubular shape before welding. In-house roll mold design using COPRA Roll Form software and experienced design engineers ensures optimum forming pass and smooth material flow throughout the forming process. It is important to ensure that the edges of the coil are formed evenly to ensure that the weld seam is accurately presented on the welding roller. The forming section consists of an entrance side guide, a flattener, a dismantling section, converging rollers, and a fin passing section. The mill stand structure is heavy duty and precision machined to ensure mill precision and reliability.

The welding section consists of a seam guide, squeeze roll stand, seam cleaning, seam ironer, cooling bath and optional internal seam cleaning. If necessary, an untwisting table can be installed between the cooling tanks to adjust the joint before sizing, especially for square and rectangular tubes.
Squeeze roll frame construction is heavy duty and precision machined to withstand the enormous separation forces in the weld area, yet make even the slightest adjustments with high precision.
Proper welding part setup and arrangement in relation to induction welding is very important to ensure an effective and efficient welding operation. Squeeze roll diameter, weld seam guide, welding coil, choke and choke cooling affect the rapid heating of the strip edge to be welded and are particularly critical for induction welding of small tubes up to 12.7 mm in diameter.

The outer diameter of the welded pipe is uniformly reduced through the sizing section and its roundness reaches the required tolerance. For square and rectangular tubes, the sizing station gradually shapes the tube to the desired shape and tolerances. The sizing part is composed of driving sizing frame, side roll frame and Turkish head. For smaller tubes, additional straighteners are provided to reduce material stress and ensure straightness of the final product. The driven sizing frame and the side roll frame are similar in design and adopt a heavy-duty structure similar to the forming frame. The final process is the Turkey Head, which controls the final shape, tolerances and straightness of the pipe before it is cut.
