The recloser control unit is the front line of the distribution system, usually located in the feeder or distribution substation. The recloser control provides intelligence to the network and handles network protection and in many cases even RTU functions. The protective relay senses the fault and assists the vacuum circuit breaker module in the recloser to clear the fault on the line. Minimize outage time and the number of customers affected by the failure.
